I had quite a few handmade wardrobes and cupboards made at my last house as they were for some difficult recesses/sizes in a very old house that didn't have any straight walls or floors.

All the cupboards were formed from scratch by a carpenter with no kits used. Each one took about a day and cost approx £350 labour and anything from £350 to £1200 in materials.

The biggest, walk-in wardrobe cost me about £1500 in materials and £900 labour, but it was the mutts nuts.

I'm displaying that the price to fit is not relative to the supply price. I imagine to fit, it cannot take more than 4 hours - £200 an hour for labour is excessive. Do you agree?

Homebase were the cheapest I could get them custom made to fit without using infill panels. IKEA would've been ideal but they only supply in 2 different sizes.

I got mine in Homebase, scheduled delivery for today, £1550 but they wanted £800 to fit, which I declined.

Did it myself. It's really not hard, you can buy everything you need from B&Q.
